The Järva-Peetri Church is the largest but the most recently built three-nave hall-church in Järva County. This Lutheran church was built in the second quarter of the 14th century. The interior of Järva-Peetri Church is unique and differs considerably from that of all other churches in Järva County. The triumphal arch is high and monumental. It is the highest rural area church in Estonia. There is an ancient sun cross in the yard. In the summer, the church is open as a road church. At other times, it can only be observed from the outside. A pilgrimage route from Pirita to Vastseliina also passes the church.
