After the St George’s Night Uprising on 4 May 1343, the four Estonian leaders of the uprising (kings) and three military assistants were treacherously killed by the Teutonic Order in the castle of Paide. The people of Paide placed a memorial stone to the seven murdered envoys on Vallimägi Hill on 20 August 1965.
